BLUF (Bottom Line Up Front): Open range days for February: 4th, 13th, 25th, 27th. Our open air bays allow you to draw from holster, maneuver obstacles, shoot both steel and paper targets, mag reload drills, transition drills and more. Take advantage of the 1400 yard known distance range, 400 yard high angle unknown distance range, steel plate racks, dueling trees, and Texas stars! Remember that MEMBERSHIPS are only $550 for the year, and that will give you full free access to the range on designated Open Range Days plus more perks including Members only events and discounts on merchandise and training!
The Sawmill will be adding new Instructors to the Cadre in ‘25 to assist in the growth and development of services provided. Welcome JT, former infantry Marine, MARSOC operator, combatives instructor, and survival expert. With JTs skillsets we will be adding more dynamic live fire classes, in addition to, survival art and techniques, hand-to-hand combatives, and much more.
The Tactical Games - Skirmishes are back!! April 5th will be our first Tactical Games - Skirmish of the year, sign up at practiscore.com or click the link in the ‘Training’ tab to register.
February 1st Evolutionary Gunfighter. Not for the beginner, this course will break down mag changes, kit break outs, dynamic shooting drills and a whole lot more.
February 7th Basic Pistol: This class is designed for those who are new to hand guns and their operation with the intent to build a comfort level and familiarity for students to handle pistols and train at home. This is the building block class to get students comfortable with a hand gun, remove the mystery and fear of guns in general, and answer all questions and feel comfortable asking them.
February 8th The Proving Grounds competition returns for the first event of the year.
February 11th Free Mil /LEO training with Dutch, register in advance.
February 15th Couples Therapy- Too often only men train to be able to defend themselves in worst case scenarios, but leave the critical gap of what does their spouse do? This course is designed for couples to work cohesively as a team to develop skills to better be able to defend themselves for the wide variety of threats posed in modern society. 2 is 1, 1 is none!
February 16th Female only Basic and Intermediate pistol. This Sunday course will have the option of choosing the Basic class in the morning and the intermediate in the afternoon. Students can sign up for one or the other or both for a discounted price.
February 18-20 Valkyrie will be hosting their annual SC SWAT competition. Vendors and food trucks will be on site so come show support for the local law enforcement’s top teams.
February 21 Intermediate Pistol- COED. This class will be heavy on live fire to advance students beyond their comfortable shooting level.
February 28 Advanced Pistol- COED. Going beyond Intermediate, this class introduces more complexities for better training including vehicles, walls, barricades, and of course the robots.
Several private groups coming in throughout the month, so keep in mind if you have a large group or client/ employee appreciation day that you’d like to rent out the range, stay a few days, get some great training and team building in, give us a call or write us an email and we can iron out the details.
